Privacy Policy

HealthGrade has no server. There is no account to create, no data is transmitted anywhere, and there is no analytics or tracking of any kind. Everything the app reads and everything it calculates stays on your device.
What the app reads
With your explicit permission, HealthGrade reads the following from Apple Health on your device. Permission is requested once, per data type, through Apple's own dialog — and you can withdraw any of it at any time in the Health app under Sharing › Apps.
- Sleep analysis, including sleep stages where your device records them
- Steps and active energy
- Exercise minutes
- Heart rate and resting heart rate
- Heart-rate variability (SDNN)
- Respiratory rate
- Blood oxygen saturation
Access is read-only. HealthGrade never writes to Apple Health, never modifies or deletes anything in it, and cannot see any data type not listed above.
What leaves your device
Nothing. HealthGrade makes no network requests to any server operated by us, because there isn't one. The app functions fully in airplane mode.
The only network traffic the app can cause is Apple's, and only when you choose it:
- Purchases. Buying Unlimited or restoring a purchase talks to the App Store. That transaction is handled by Apple, and we receive no personal information from it — the app only ever learns whether an entitlement exists.
- Sharing a PDF. If you export a report and choose to send it somewhere, it goes wherever you send it. The file is generated on your device; the app does not upload it anywhere.
What is stored, and where
The app caches the health figures it has read, plus your goals, notification preferences and purchase state. All of it is stored locally, in the app's own storage on your device, and is excluded from iCloud and iTunes backups.
Deleting the app removes that storage. One item — the record that your trial has started — is kept in the device keychain so that reinstalling does not grant a second trial. It contains no personal information: a start date, a length in days, and a purchase flag.
Notifications
All notifications are scheduled locally by the app. There are no push notifications, and the app never registers for a push token, so no notification content passes through any server.
Children
HealthGrade is not directed at children and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top. Since the app collects nothing, any change is likely to be a clarification rather than a new practice.
